| The Northern Territory is the finest place in Australia. We have a great climate, incredible scenery and long, empty roads.
Sights The scenery in the Territory is second to none. We have the most spectacular waterfalls and gorges, the best and wildest wildlife, and the most amazing fishing anywhere. The best thing is that all of the Top End attractions - Kakadu, Litchfield, Nitmiluk (Katherine) - are within 4 hours' ride from Darwin. And you wouldn't want to spend less time on the bike than that, would you?
Roads The roads in the Top End are the envy of people all over the world. There are not too many of them, but there is so little traffic with just 200,000 residents in the whole Northern Territory, you just about have them to yourself. And of course the open road speed limit is 130 km/h - the fastest in Australia - on top quality bitumen. And if you feel like a long ride, why not head off to Alice Springs, 1,500 kilometres away, with only a few towns to slow down for one the way. (Of course there are plenty of roadhouses where you can refuel and recharge.)
Climate We have to say it: the climate in the Top End is as near perfect as you can get. From May to September, when they shiver down south, we average less than one day of rain per month. Overnight minimums in the same months, our cold season, barely dip below 20. Just have a look at the rain statistics and minimum temperature statistics for yourself, and pick the month you want to escape with us.
